FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT


     - The City College of Calamba is tasked to provide quality but affordable and relevant tertiary education to the underprivileged but deserving residents of the city and assist the City Mayor in carrying the education program.

OBJECTIVES


1. To provide high quality education to bright but deserving residents of Calamba;
2. To contribute to the common good of the youth by developing their full potentials as professionals who ate quality trained, highly skilled, productive, enlightened and morally upright;
3. To conduct trainings that are geared toward one’ personal growth;
4. To develop pertinent and job oriented academic courses relevant, first and foremost to local and national needs.

 FUNCTIONAL STATEMENTS


     - The City Population Management Office (CPMO) is geared towards the improvement of individual welfare and well-being, increase family awareness regarding development and promote cooperation and coordination among the people through development approach by utilizing the partnership of government and community system.

     - The office does this thru the implementation of City Population Management Program (CPMP) and work for the creation of harmony among Population (P) growth and distribution of Resources availability and Environment (E) quality (PRE) framework by improving people to help achieve sustainable development. It will also provide assistance and support in gathering socio-economic data which is basically needed in formulating local development plans.

OBJECTIVES


1. To improve the capacity of the LGU in integrating population concerns in the plans and operations;

2. To support couples and people of reproductive age in their decision by creating awareness on life issues and concerns including the members of the family;

3. To help adolescent manage their sexual responsibility while achieving full personal development;

4. To help achieve gender fairness in family formation, fertility decision, child care, household management and other spheres of development;

5. To established and maintain updated populace information to be utilized in development planning in consistent with PRE harmony;

6. To promote responsible parenthood among couples.

FUNCTIONAL STATEMENTS


     - For an effective delivery of the basic services being offered by the City Veterinary and Slaughterhouse Management Department to clients from the City of Calamba, financial and moral support will be needed for the accomplishments of its planned activities.
     - Researches, trainings and seminars of the technical personnel of the City Veterinary and Slaughterhouse Management Department are imperative and crucial in the advancement of knowledge. Seminars/Trainings and workshop of clienteles who are the main beneficiaries of the departments present activities are also inevitable to promote self-reliance and self-sufficiency to the people of Calamba City.

OBJECTIVES


1. To effectively deliver the basic services extended by the City Veterinary and Slaughterhouse Management Department to its constituents, livestock farmers and pet owners in particular;
2. To improve the economic condition of livestock farmers and its families to a sustainable level;
3. To ensure public health safety of animal meat consumers and its by-products;
4. To effectively transfer new/Improved technologies that is beneficial to the livestock farmers;
5. To accelerate the production of quality animals for breeding, draft and commercial purposes;
6. And to prevent and control the occurrence of the present and emerging diseases in the city.

SERVICES


Animal Health Section
Preventive Animal Health Management
- Immunizes large animals/ruminants against Hemorrhagic Septicemia  & hogs against Hog Cholera;
- Conduct Anti-rabies vaccination on companion animals in various barangays; 
- Conduct Anti-rabies vaccination on companion animals for walk-in clients; 
- Conduct random avian blood sampling; 
- Cares and maintains for animals’ health and population; 
- Monitors livestock animal and disease surveillance.
Treatment
- Provides field treatment to large and small animals; 
- Implement deworming medication to large and small animals.

Slaughterhouse Management Division
Meat Inspection
- Perform various phases of meat inspection procedures on meat stalls & slaughterhouses to ensure the safety of meat and meat products being sold to the public;
- Recommend to the City Veterinarian appropriate measures concerning meat inspection work to prevent spread of zoonotic diseases in the city;
- Act as team leader during raids of illegal slaughtering, confiscation of “Hot meat”  and other related activities;
- Inspect, check and verify supporting papers of meat being brought into the markets and/or being offered for sale.
Stockyard
- Manage In Receiving & Releasing Of Food Animals For Slaughter
- Receives all incoming food animals for temporary shelter
- Maintain record of all food animals for temporary shelter and for slaughter
- Maintain cleanliness inside the temporary shelter
- Monitor the physical condition of all food animals inside the shelter
Disinfection Service
- Perform disinfection of animal carrier
Slaughter Operation Service
- Conducts hygienic slaughter activity of all food animals
Dispatching Service
- Monitor & supervise registered private butchers & helpers in dispatching the carcasses for trading
- Monitor the correct number of food animals released to the clients
- Supervise & monitor the hygienic transfer of carcass
Documentation
- Preparation and Issuance of Certificate of Transfer of Large Animal
- Preparation and Issuance of Certificate of Ownership of Large Animal
Support Service
- Supervise and assist the licensing of butchers and meat handlers; 
- Formulate orientation and training designs for butchers and meat handlers in terms of hygiene, sanitation and proper handling of meat and meat products on market and slaughterhouses.

FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT


     - The Department is mandated to develop/implement plans and programs relative to agriculture and aquaculture that will ensure maximum assistance to farmers for the upliftment of their economic conditions. These programs focus on provision of subsidized inputs, transfer of technology, and establishment of demo/trials. Encouraging/assisting farmers cooperatives/organizations, and regular extension of technical assistance.
     - The Department also stresses the importance of equipping its technical personnel with updated knowledge and skills on modern technologies that would enhance agricultural through trainings/seminars and other capability building activities.
     - The effectivity of this office on its set work plans will be lessened without the moral and financial support for the city government, hence this, proposal.

OBJECTIVES


1. To deliver effectively the basic services extended by the City Government to its constituents, farmers and fisherfolks in particular;
2. To improve the economic condition of farm families to a sustainable level;
3. To effectively transfer new/improved technologies that is beneficial to the farmers/fisherfolks;
4. To promote/encourage urban agriculture;
5. To provide technical assistance to farming communities.
