FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT

To care, protect, rehabilitate individuals and groups (families, women, youths, children, elderly, persons with disabilities, drug dependent, distressed and social welfare organizations) who has the least in life and needing social welfare and development interventions in order for them to become productive, self-reliant, participating and contributing member of the community.

OBJECTIVE

  1. To improve the quality of life by providing basic programs and services to the following clientele (victims of man-made disaster and natural calamities, needy families, elderly and persons with disabilities and children, women and youths in difficult circumstances0;

  2. To provide technical assistance in organizing, strengthening and mobilizing social welfare structures/groups like senior citizens, persons with disabilities and Women’s group, BCPC, BDRRMC, Day Care Parents Association;

  3. To provide intervention for constituents relative to poverty alleviation programs;

  4. To coordinate/establish linkages with different GO’s & NGO’s and other organization for the promotion of development welfare of the needy sectors;

  5. To provide rehabilitation program and services to youth in conflict with the law, recovered drug dependents, battered and sexually abused women and children and their families to ensure their survival, protection and development;

  6. To provide services for the street children and their family to become productive members of the society, etc;

  7. To provide quality training to students and inculcate proper work attitudes and values;

  8. To bring training to the barangay level as part of technology outreach program whose residents have limited or no means of going to the training center due to high transportation cost;

  9. Implement skills training which are labor market and industry driven and responsive to the needs of the community and other target groups and to provide opportunities for employment through entrepreneurship, self-employment and service oriented activities;

  10. To provide a place for further intellectual growth for the acquisition of knowledge and skills in becoming competitive inside and outside the training center.
